Objective:
Our Client approached us with the challenge of designing a comprehensive tool for content planning, specifically based on an editor's calendar. The client also required the development of an iOS mobile application centred around the editor's calendar and story list. The goal was to create an intuitive and efficient solution to streamline content planning and management for complex content teams, including newsrooms and large-scale editorial departments.
Challenge:
Throughout the project, our team did not encounter significant difficulties with communication, the system, or the client's team. The collaboration was smooth and productive, allowing us to focus on delivering a high-quality solution.
Solution:
Our solution entailed the development of several key components:
- Editorial Calendar: A centralized calendar for content planning and scheduling.
- Topic Edit Page: An interface to manage and edit individual content topics.
- Kanban Board: A visual tool for managing content tasks and workflows.
- Dashboard: An overview of key metrics, deadlines, and upcoming content.
- Task List: A comprehensive list of content-related tasks for easy tracking.
- Short-term Planning: A feature to plan and manage content in the short term.
- Design Customization: Development of a color scheme, font style, and design system to align with Client's branding.
- Story List: A centralized repository for content stories and ideas.
The solution involved making changes and enhancements to the Client’s existing product. We worked closely with the client's team to understand their requirements and tailor the solution accordingly.
