Objective: 

 

 

FIVE has got a request from a German company specializing in the aerospace industry. Our team had to lead the development of a high-precision smell-recognizing system that can be used for all applications which require smell or gas detecting and analyzing. 

 

 

 

Challenge: 

 

 

It had to be totally designed and developed from scratch – from the unique hardware to the special software.  

The main purpose of the project was to detect and recognize smells in the airplane cabin. It had to be able to recognize over 100 different substances and their odors. 

 

 

 

Solution: 

 

 

Throughout the project, our team conducted extensive research to select the right technologies and components to achieve the client's goals. We also worked closely with the client to ensure that the system met all of their unique requirements and could be integrated seamlessly into their existing operations.

 

 

FIVE created a team of engineers that could develop the project. 

 

 

Despite the challenges we faced, the team at FIVE was able to deliver the project on time and to the client's satisfaction.

Results: 

 

FIVE team of engineers created the system based on the Raspberry Pi (ARM Cortex-M4), which has small dimensions and weight, due to the ergonomic design. It was an example of a high-class electronic device: it has shock resistance and protection from external electromagnetic fields, a battery-powered mode, and special unique software to work with a PC. 

 

 

 

We are proud to say that our team's hard work paid off, and we were able to add significant value to the client's business. The new features we developed have increased the application's functionality and overall value proposition.
