Objective:

Our team was tasked with creating a web platform designed to provide institutional care providers with tools to manage patient data and treatment plans. The platform was to solve the challenges of traditional paper-based patient record-keeping, including inefficiency, inaccuracies, and the potential for misplaced or lost records.

Challenge:

Pulselife had to offer a range of features to streamline patient care, including comprehensive patient profiles, automated medication and treatment scheduling, and real-time communication between care providers. The platform also includes powerful analytics and reporting capabilities, enabling care providers to monitor patient progress, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

One of the primary concerns when building a platform like PulseLife is scalability. The system must be able to handle many users and data with ease. This requires careful consideration of the platform's architecture and infrastructure, such as the choice of servers, database design, and load balancing.

There are also strict regulations around the protection of personal health information (PHI), so ensuring that the platform is HIPAA compliant is essential.

A platform like PulseLife must be easy to use and navigate for all users, including patients, healthcare providers, and administrators.

Solution:

The client needed a website for its customers, easy to control, which required CEO and CMSThey provided us with only the choice of CMS, and they opted for Prismic because they were already familiar with it. Prismic uses a slice method, which enables users to add, remove, or modify pages easily. This allows the client to manage content in a very flexible manner.

One of the biggest challenges we faced during the development process was related to Prismic. This technology was relatively new and had a small community, which made it difficult to find the necessary resources and support. Additionally, the old documentation was inadequate, which further complicated matters. However, we were able to overcome these obstacles through diligent research and experimentation. As a result, we were able to successfully integrate Prismic into the platform and create a flexible and intuitive CMS that allowed the client to easily manage the content of their website.

The project itself took around 200 hours, with a 1-person team.

Technologies:

We’ve used the latest technologies and libraries such as:

  • Next.js (SEO friendly),
  • Sass, Prismic (CMS),
  • 18next (locale)

Results:

A key advantage of Pulselife is its scalability. The platform is designed to meet the needs of institutions of all sizes, from small clinics to large hospitals. As institutions grow and evolve, the platform can easily be adapted to meet their changing needs.

Overall, Pulselife is a powerful platform that is helping to transform the way that institutional care providers manage patient care. With its advanced features, intuitive interface, and scalable design, the platform is well-positioned to continue to drive innovation and improve patient outcomes in the years to come.
