Objective:
FIVE’s team participated in creating a digital commerce platform to engage customers with mobile payment capabilities and rewards.
The Client is one of the largest fuel distribution companies in the United States. Their legacy and reputation for innovation, and commitment to its local communities are foundational elements of this iconic American brand. Today, they distribute fuel to over 5,000 gas station locations in more than 30 states.
Sunoco has chosen FIVE developers for changing the design of the application and adding a new rewards system.
Challenge:
The main task for us was to design, develop, and operationalize a digital program and platform that empowered the company to establish a more personalized relationship with its customers and to deliver a set of high-value services to its network of dealers. Sunoco also needed a solution to deliver mobile payments and digitize its grocery rewards program.
Solution:
It was not a solution from scratch as we already had an existing codebase and were part of a team that consisted of 15 developers. We used Scrum because the team was big, which demanded a lot of communication, and release was supposed to be done on time with the Client’s requirements. For a better understanding, FIVE team members involved in the project had daily calls and reports.
