Our Client is a global platform founded with the finest diverse experts that provide counseling anywhere and anytime for individuals, couples, parents, and children using evidence-based practices to ensure that their needs and concerns are met. 

 

 

The client requested our help in testing an app that organizes online text and provides audio and video consultations with teachers, doctors, and psychologists -- a highly important service in the days of pandemics and homeschooling. 

 

 

 

 

Challenge: 

 

 

The client needed to make a thorough app testing in order to be sure of the product quality before its official release. The app was developed but never actually tested and our client wanted to be sure that the app was fully functional and user-friendly. 

 

 

An extremely important purpose of the app is to help parents bring up children with special needs. It was also made useful for education and medicine professionals that can utilize this type of product to the best of their ability. Therefore, the testing was extremely important and had to be done with utmost attention and professionalism. 

 

 

The original version of the app had not been tested before we started working with it. At first, it took a lot of time to discover and describe all the issues and inconsistencies. The real challenge was to test and fix calls as they dealt with third-party services. 

 

 

 

Solution: 

 

Our test strategy was to perform the whole app testing in order to provide the maximum possible level of quality. We created a traceability matrix for most frequently used mobile platforms that covered possible user flows. 

 

 

A great deal of bugs was detected on both Android and iOS platforms. Our work included lots of test documentation like test cases, checklists, traceability matrix, and bug reports in order to cover all possible user flows. 

 

 

Due to the app being created using native languages, there was a decision to concentrate on the specifics of every mobile platform. 

 

 

The project timeline was from October 2020 to February 2021. On our side there was one QA Engineer, and on the client’s side the team also included PM, Android developer and iOS developer.
